Chair Yoga consists of asana sequences practiced with the use of a chair. Whether the person is sitting or standing, simply using the chair as support, it is perfect for all levels and ages. The regular practice of chair yoga in the work environment brings the same benefits of regular Hatha Yoga such as: anxiety control and stress reduction, increased enthusiasm, physical and mental flexibility, team spirit, increased concentration, self-knowledge and self-realization. It can be done individually or in groups and, in this case, a welcoming, non-competitive space is created, aiming to stimulate a more meaningful, creative and healthy lifestyle, where students can fully live the present moment.
Chair Yoga is well suited for people who have mobility problems, who are recovering from surgeries, people with disabilities, and also elderly people, who are encouraged to keep their minds active as they develop their physical and spiritual wellbeing through meditative techniques.
